Courtenay Wolfe
President and Chief Executive Officer
Courtenay joined Salida Capital as Managing Director in March 2008 and
was later elected to President and Chief Executive Officer in October that same
year. Courtenay brings over 16 years of experience to Salida, including
10 years in capital markets, along with a successful track record in the areas
of leadership, corporate strategy and business development.
Prior to joining Salida Capital, Courtenay was Senior Vice President of
Sales and Strategy at Tricycle Asset Management, one of Canada's largest
private alternative investment companies. Courtenay joined the firm in
its infancy in 2002 and her business strategy implementation was instrumental
in building Tricycle's assets from under $100 million to more than $1 billion
in less than 3 years.
In 1996 Courtenay was brought in to found Dell Canada's online business
division. By 1998 she had grown it into Canada’s largest e-commerce business, a
$500 million business unit, 50% of Dell Canada’s revenue and the fastest
growing e-commerce division throughout Dell globally. While at Dell, Courtenay
was granted the Chairman's award for excellence, presented annually to 5 out of 40,000 global employees.
Earlier in her career, Courtenay held various senior management roles in
the areas of business development, sales and marketing.
Courtenay sits on the Board of Directors of BTR
Investment Management Ltd., the international investment manager to the BTR
Funds, for which Salida Capital is the exclusive advisor. Courtenay also sits
on the board of director for the ONEXONE Foundation, a charitable organization
which assists in improving the lives of children globally.
In 2009 Courtenay founded the Salida Capital
Foundation, a philanthropic initiative focused on the areas of Sustainable
Energy, Food Security and Agricultural Innovation, Women's Rights and
Empowerment, and Children's Causes. Within these areas the Foundation focuses
on both active involvement and passive investments in Canada and globally.
